Be it Jazz or Rock & Roll, or AfroBeat to HipHop, "Shap" has distinguished himself with his versatility and approach.
He has performed with The Platters, The Tokens, The Buckinghams, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Gino Vannelli, The Boxtops, Ben Vereen, Charo, Maureen McGovern, Clint Holmes, Sal Valentinetti, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Artists Lounge Live, Under the Streetlamp, Jazz Faction Big Band, Soul Vaccination, Standing Room Only Orchestra, and Yazz Events in addition to dozens of locally-known bands and ensembles, including HipHop standout "Artis Bourne."
While tenor saxophone is his primary voice, Joshua can be heard on other saxophones and woodwinds, and his arrangements are in the books of many ensembles throughout the region.
